IT DOESN'T END THERE

We met Andrew Oxenham at the #LaJollaCoveMeet last summer. His passion for the photography community made him a fast friend of PicTapGo.

People keep insisting on calling me a photographer, so, I guess I’ll relent. My name is Andrew Oxenham and I’m a photographer. There, are you happy now?!! But in all honesty I love photography, have ever since I went to college and began taking selfies with my newly purchased iPhone. These days I abstain from that particular style of shot by constantly wandering around trying to capture seemingly routine things in new ways. The nooks and crannies of my world are most often what speak to me, and are what drew me to the photographic community in the first place. That said, the communion with other photographers is what keeps me here.

What does mobile photography mean to you?

At its core, mobile photography is the art of snapping a photo with your mobile device, but it goes much deeper than that. The best camera is the one that’s with you, and since my phone is with me constantly it makes for the perfect photo-taking device. It’s the beauty of the digital age, being able to take mobile photos that are in the moment. But it doesn’t stop there, it gets better. You can not only capture perfect moments & candids, but can then turn around and edit them on your phone, ready to share at a moment’s notice. It’s truly incredible. What is your favorite PicTapGo feature?

On the practical side I love PicTapGo’s workflow. You select the photo, filter it, then viola you’re right in the thick of all the saving/sharing options. On the more metaphysical side I love it’s personality! Having tried many photography apps I love that PicTapGo is full of character and quirkiness. It’s the only photo editing app I’ve seen that brings fun to photo editing.
