When they’re not shooting portraits and weddings, Holly and Ryan Gauper of GAUPERphoto are entertaining and inspiring thousands of followers through compelling portraits of their cat Duma. @Dumagauper is truly a must follow account for any pet lover.
We are wedding photographers based out of Michigan, but more importantly, we are the parents of the most adorable Bengal kitty, Duma. She loves jumping, exploring and hunting. She is very chatty and never afraid to voice her opinion. There is never a dull moment with Duma…outside of the 20 hours a day that she is napping.
What does mobile photography mean to you?
Mobile photography is a little different for us since we are not just using our iPhones. When we started shooting Duma with our regular camera instead of our iPhones we fell in love with the quality of the images. However, we never did anything with them. They got downloaded into our computer, and buried on old hard drives. It was just too much of a hassle to organize and edit those photos on the computer. As they say, out of sight, out of mind.
Once we discovered PicTapGo and how great it is, things sort of clicked, and we decided to blend the two together using the regular camera, but editing the photos on our iPhones with PicTapGo. It has become the best of both worlds for us since we are able to edit anywhere and it’s so quick and easy without sacrificing quality.
So mobile photography to us isn’t just about using the Iphone, it’s about having the freedom to use any camera then edit and share photos quickly from anywhere.
What is your favorite PicTapGo feature?
Our favorite thing about PicTapGo in general is the quality. It resembles the editing we do on our computer, but is mobile and quick enough for our personal photos. We are able to edit the photos to look really natural but with a consistent style that we love because there is so much control. There are so many filter choices that are simple and classic which is perfect for our work. Just having the options and level of control over the images makes our lives so much better! We know what we like and pretty much all of our photos get the same treatment. Our favorite filters are skinny jeans, crispity and fade to autumn. Duma loves the way crispity makes her green eyes pop!
